Can Mold Be Caused By A Thermostat Setting?

Can mold actually be caused by a thermostat on which the fan is set to On, or Run versus Auto? Yes, it can. What you will see in the following video is proof.

How can that be possible? Well, for one thing, we all know that here in Florida, the humidity is very high. When your air conditioning is running properly, and your fan is set to Auto, the air conditioner will pull the moisture out of the air and keep your home dry.

On the other hand, if the thermostat setting for the fan is set to “ON,” and it runs constantly, then your air will be filled with moisture, and that moisture will coat everything in your home and eventually turn into mold. So, everyone, please, change the fan setting on your thermostat from “On” or “Run” to “AUTO.”
